The Story
A magnificent pair of rock quartz crystal earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Beautiful 14kt yellow gold frames surround elongated rock crystal links, which are faceted for a prism-like effect. The frames are adorned with swirls of leaf-like accents, each etched with delicate textured detail. At the top of each earring is a rock crystal and gold surmount attached to a simple gold wire back. When worn, the earrings hang long and have lovely movement! Despite their substantial appearance, they are lightweight and comfortable to wear. They would make a stunning addition to any Victorian collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 3 3/8" long and measures 1" wide at the base.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the faceted rock crystals or to the gold setting. An untouched patina gives an authentic antique appearance to the gold setting. The earring wires and surmounts are intact and in good condition.
