A magnificent and unusual Vintage piece from the 1970s! This artistic pendant is made from a gorgeous tiger's eye stone that has been hand carved into the shape of a cicada bug. The piece has a hefty weight and a three-dimensional design, giving it a bold and noticeable look. The tiger's eye has a wonderful, rich caramel color with streaks of dark brown, and iridescent gold flashes. Both sides of the bug have been carved to represent the basic outline of its body, with swirls of engraved lines along the wings and head as a decorative accent. The top of the cicada's head is attached to a 14kt yellow gold bail, allowing it to be hung from a chain. This fun and unusual piece would be perfect for any insect lover or Vintage collector!
Measurements: The pendant hangs 2 1/4" long, is 1 1/8" wide, and 3/4" thick at its thickest point.
